Is there a way to get a cheaper edition of Photoshop. I would really like to purchase it legitimally, but wow it is a little expensive.

I think you can get a student license for Photoshop, can't think of any other ways though

Or you can download GIMP. It is a free open source equivalent of photoshop. I like photoshop better probably because im more familiar with it, but you can do just about everything that you can in photoshop in gimp.

Photoshop Elements? I use it for fixing up digital camera pics and it is excellent!

Never got my hands on Photoshop. Always like Paintshop Pro though. Might be sufficient for your needs.
