Photoshop won't start

I was having problems with my copy of Photoshop 5.5. One day it just stopped loading up all the way. It would start, get to the "Initializing ICC Engine" point, and then just shut down. No taskbar, it's not still running or anything...

Okay, fine. I was trying to figure that problem out, and my hard drive crashed. So I replaced the hard drive and only installed Win2k (had a dual boot on the first drive.) And I stole our Photoshop 5.5 from work, just in case there was something wrong with mine.

Same thing. Exact same thing. New hard drive, new Photoshop, same problem. Can anyone help?
 
When Adobe was responding to questions about their pirated Photoshop selling for $500, one of their responces was that if it wasn't a legit copy, they wouldn't qualify for the wonderful tech support or something like that... They used that as a reason people should pay $400 more... If I were you I'd be getting that $400 worth of tech support from them.
