Want to try out some new fonts in photoshop, wondering if there is a way to import or otherwise obtain a lot more cool fonts.

Photoshop uses any valid TYPE 1 or Truetype font
(vaild meaning, non corrupted, registered) stored in the Font directory and installed
through a Font management program (ATM) or Windows

Here's something to get you started collecting freeware fonts:
Fonts & Dingbats

Also, do a Google search for free fonts.
A lot of Type Foundries give away free samples of their work.

My wife uses photoshop regularly and says she has never had an issue getting TTF fonts to work. You might want to uninstall photoshop, delete all leftover files, then try a re-install.

How do I get these fonts into photoshop? They have a ton and a few I want, but the ATM doesn;t recognize the TTF file.

You install them into Windows first and Photoshop reads them from there.

To install into windows:
1) Start-->Settings-->Control Panel, double-click Fonts to bring up your fonts folder.
2) File-->Install New Font(if this is not an option, you've got registry issues).
3) Browse to the folder where the TTF files are, then it'll list all the fonts it found in the bigger window up top. Select All and hit OK.

That should be it. Post back if you have any trouble.
