When I try to make a new file, it says "Could not create a new document because the scratch disks is full."
I have a lot of room in my hdd. How do I fix this?

try changing your scratch disk.
you can easily find it if you open the program up and look around. i can't tell you where it is in there, but it's not hard to find.

Right from the Photoshop Help file;

To change the scratch disk assignment:

1,) Choose Edit >Preferences >Plug Ins and Scratch Disks

2) Do one of the following (yada yada yatta)

3) click OK

4) restart photoshop

<P class=headstep>

I'm not sure, but I think Photoshop creates scratch files that are much like the Windows swap file, but used for its own purposes. You may have to clear some space, get a bigger drive, or add another one. You may find more info by searching Photoshop's help file for "scratch file."
