We want to get a print of this picture for my father-in-law. It would be really great if someone could brighten it up a bit (specifically the stern/rear of the boat). I know it isn't the greatest picture, but it's the best we have and I want to at least try.

Thanks a million for any help!

That looks a lot better, but is there any way to avoid the graininess in the windows, or is that just the quality of the photo itself?

Thanks a lot!

It's just the quality of the photo. I even ran noise reduction on the image. Grain really tends to appear when you try lightening dark areas.

How big are you going to print it?

Ho, and could I borrow it for the weekend, Ill take good care of it.

😀

Ahh, I figured as much. Thanks a lot for the help -- not sure how long it took you, but is there a way to go about 1/2 way between the original brightness and the brighter one? I think that might be the sweet spot as far as grain vs. darkness is concerned.

Thanks a lot for the help. I owe you a

I was thinking that somewhere around 12" x 18" or 11" x 14" would be preferrable, but with that much grain...I will probably go a bit smaller.
