Hi all.

My cousin was killed in a car accident on Friday. We were all together at a wedding just over a month ago and I got a family picture of his family that I want to print for them. However it's way too dark. So, I'm looking for help just to lighten it up and make it look as good as it can since it may very well be the last family photo that was taken of their whole family. If anyone can help, that'd be great. I dn't think it'd be real difficult but I'm sure people can do it better than I can.

Here's 2 links to the original photos (600k or so).
Kevin (the deceased) is the one in the center in the grey coat/pants and light shirt.

This one is relatively OK for lighting but has weird face and such. Can be used as a reference.

This is the one I want to use but it's far too dark.

If you have any luck, please reply here or PM me or email me at mboehm@wi.rr.com

THANKS for any help!!!

Here. The edited file ended up quite a bit larger than the original because jpeg compression is funny. It's still uploading, try it in a minute or two.

Sorry about your cousin.

so sorry to hear about your cousin. A fine looking young man. I did a little work on the image...balanced the color a bit, took out and smoothed the reflections from the flash on their faces, and healing brushed some of the facial skin tones to get rid of the jpeg artifacts.

ONly thing is, I can't figure out how to attach the image to this post! Can someone tell me how to do that, and I'll upload this puppy. HOpe you like it.

I'd be happy to do the original for you, it's easy to lighten darker images, even jpegged ones, in Photoshop, and tweak them to look good. The original, if it's bigger, would retouch better. I do this kind of work all the time, so happy to do it and it's pretty quick.

You can email it to me at skypix@taconic.net

Meanwhile, I'll try to figure out how to attach the one I just did!

Heartfelt condolences to you and your family

thanks

You'll need to use a picture hosting site, you cant directly attach pictures to your posts. Try this

Franky, I'm very sorry about your loss. He looks so young to pass away.

Skypix7, You can open an account at http://pics.bbzzdd.com and post the link here after you upload the file there. Or just email it to the OP.
