Photoshop help needed

I need to fix this photo tonight to turn in for a program tomorrow and I've tried everything I know with my limited skills in Photoshop 5.0.

When you view the photo you'll see that around the faces of the boys in the back row where there should be shadows, instead there is red and I can't get rid of it or even lighten it any way that I've tried.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I'd really appreciate any help with this.

That red is a shadow. It's the contrast between the light from the flash and the natural gymnasium lighting.

Although it does make them look like they have gills.

By "around the faces of the boys in the back row where there should be shadows, instead there is red" do you mean the red on the wall behind them? Or actually on their faces?

Is #33 fixed in this pic?

😀, not exactly what I was looking for, but I think I'll keep it. Thanks.

Yep, that looks good.

Thanks, Injury and YOyoYOhowsDAjello! That's excellent. YoYo, I noticed that you got the red from behind #4 too. I don't know how you guys can do such a great job fixing a photo like that so fast. Thank you very much, I really appreciate it.

I also kept the heads on the right bodies 😉

I'm just using Paint.NET to do this. No fancy photoshop tricks 😛

Lol, I didn't even notice that Injury had switched the heads until you posted this and I took another look. Thank goodness I just copied your photo to use instead of his. Thanks again.
