Looking at it again the blur effect is way too strong on top but i'm too lazy to fix it right now.

Cheesy text effects but it's a nicholas sparks type novel eh?

Dang dude, now I really like that! The blur at the top and the bottom is too much, and the title text is a little cheesy... But I really like how you combined the best of those two angles, I hadn't thought of trying that. It works great!

Dang dude, now I really like that! The blur at the top and the bottom is too much, and the title text is a little cheesy... But I really like how you combined the best of those two angles, I hadn't thought of trying that. It works great!

The cover text is where most self-published novels end up failing. People do judge a book by its cover and while you can get away with a bland or poorly done background, the same for text turns everyone off.

Makes sense to me; Do you have any suggestions for choosing good cover text? What about content text/fonts?

Honestly, only two designs have really caught my eye so far. They are:

warmodder and
mryellow2

Both of those really tickle my fancy, and I think that either would make a fine cover, with some (minor) refinements. They both have their merits. I'm really anxious to see what both designers come up with, if they feel like putting some finishing touches on it :)
