Is it possible to make this image 1280*768 without sacryficing too much on resolution? Thanks.

1280x768? It would definitely be stretched. 🙂

You would also lose all crispness in the picture.

You can just resize it, it will become somewhat blocky and blurry.. better just not try

maybe apply sharpness and then gussian blur, that way you can blur the clear areas to rid yourself of the pixels and sharpness to get sharp edges
