I want to get in to PSE as a graphics beginner, because I eventually want to move up to full PS. Main use will be creating web graphics (buttons, interfaces, general UI stuff). Is Elements sufficient for these tasks? Will it be a good learning experience towards the full PS? Any limitations other than what Adobe posts on their website comparison? Please, do not plug the Gimp or Paint Shop Pro in this thread. Help me out by keeping discussion focused on PS/PSE. Thanks. :)

I personally think that PSE is great for what you want to do.

If you don't need some of the advanced features of PS, why even bother upgrading from PSE?

Although you may want to have imageready as well, and that comes with the full blown PS

i haven't look at imageready, i'm off to read up on it though. any summaries would help.

Image ready allows you to do more advanced web graphics.

Image slices, rollovers etc...
