Photoshop CS2...

Is kicking my ass. I've been doing some basic tutorials trying to learn a few things...but once in awhile I run into a few problems. Like it won't allow me to do the next step. Like I'm supposed to go to Filter/styliz/chrome...or something like that. But it won't let me. Its gray and not a valid selection. This irritates me. lol..

Oh well...live and learn.

Anyone have some good links they can't live without? Recommend a few learning videos? I need all the help I can get.

are you on the correct layer ? Or even have the correct "document" in the foreground (if working on multiple images) ? Have the proper area selected ?
