Your sample is not a good example, but it gets the point across......but you can clearly see it doesnt belong, you should have it incorperated into the scene better.

Yeah, all it looks like is you took a picture of an mp3 player and pasted it over the war photo. That takes zero skill, anyone with paint can do that.

Here's an altered image I did a long time ago. Not quite the same thing though. I'm going to have to find some good inspiration for what you are trying to do.
