Ha, I remember all the honda boys proclaiming the new Celica was fugly when it first came out. Then the new Civic came out. Now this. What goes around comes around. :)

Where does it remind you of an IS300?

It looks like a skinny version of a TL from the side and kind of poser 300M-BMW325 lights with a Toyota Paseo back.

I guess you'll have to see it all decked out with spoilers and side skirts to really judge it. This must be the base RS version.

Seems pretty dumb of Acura to debut a new model in base form :)

Wow... another let down. They really have to stop doing this. They release cool sketches... and then when the real thing comes out, it's a let down. I don't see much improvement from the previous gen (Integra)...

Especially the back, what the hell has changed? A little dimple here and there, the stupid rounded bottom part of the lights. Freaking a... are they not paying their designers enough? Then again, it could be bad photos... same thing happened with the TL Type-S.

Honda really has to stop relying on their engineers to sell their cars...

edit: BOBBY RIBS: Yeah, Acura is trying to get the same look across all their cars so that when you see it, you'll know it's an Acura. I applaud the idea, but the execution is horrid. They chose the wrong style/grill/front end to implement. Looks economical, cheap... just not a luxury car at all. Acura just can't get much right after they killed off the Legend name. First they want people to know it's Acura by giving alpha numeric names, now they want to tie everything together with an ugly front end...

Well, I hated the Prelude when it first came out. It eventually grew on me and I got one. I felt like a hypocrite but those damn headlights....I couldn't get them out of my mind.

Not bad, I think it looks nice. The thing I don't get is this, why do they have to call it an RSX now? I mean it's blaringly obvious this is an Integra with a facelift, so why the nameplate change? *shrug*

Ack, I think that's the only thing that I HATE about the Prelude, it looked so damn good around 95-96, but the latest gen's headlights damn near ruin it...

In the top pic it looks like a slightly crushed down ford focus :) But I still like it. And BTW people I think the second last gen of preludes are boring, I actually really love the new ones ;)

I like the headlights over the '94+ lights, looks a bit better that way. The back looks very similar to it also, but sorta looks like it shares properties with the Insight. Not bad if they could put a decent engine in that now, something pushing atleast 225+ HP hopefully.

I hated those headlights on the new Prelude when it first came out. The back looked really nice though.

After a while, the headlights grow on you (really). I actually thought it added a bit of personality to the car.

You either love it or hate it though.

The Headlights have DEFEINITELY got TO GO... they look like Civic Headlights, with the round curvings as if it were a BMW E46 3 series, or that one Chrysler car.... it looks decent, but, the one in the picture is DYING for a spoiler, and needs to be dropped 1-2inches in the front and the back... Rims are nice, but I highly doubt those come stock...

im surprised they aren't rebadging the Integra with a # and few letters of some sort. Thats what they did with the Legend, Vigor, etc... all of them returned with two letters, such as the 2.2 CL, 3.2 TL, 3.2 RL, etc... maybe this will be the 1.6 or 1.8 RSX.

but, i dont think its anything special.. a rice rocket will always be a rice rocket, and give it half a year, you'll see these cars lining up every asian cafe... :)

The worse thing about it is the Civic like front end. Externally, everything else about the car just seems like a freshened up 3rd gen. They should have just freshened up the JDM front end and left it at that. The JDM Integra was a pretty decent looking little car and now it's been assimilated into the bland collective that now is Honda.

No complaints about the engine or interior though. Both very nice. I could do without the silver accents though.

The interior was beautiful, and the rear 3/4 view was very nice. Unfortunately the side and front views make the car look way too chubby, and more than a little too much like a hybrid Cellica/Echo. Maybe in person the car will look better, I'll have to check it out when I go to Cobo hall for the NAIAS this weekend.
