http://opentechinc.net/nforce3/ <--- fixed :D

If the AnandTech Effect swamps these guys and someone wants to mirror the photos, I did save them.

Looking at the photos, it appears to be an Asus P8N8X-LA (or maybe that's PBN8X-LA?) using dual-channel ECC memory (9 chips per side on the modules). I spotted a SATALink SATA controller and two SATA RAID headers too. It has an ATX12V 4-pin plug, and that's about all I can make out. Sure wish we could get one of these into Evan's or Anand's hands... or mine, too :D

Looks like the heatsink screws down... I sure hope they've idiot proofed it... I can only imagine how many people will have stripped screws and cracked motherboards from cranking down on those screws to make sure it's "good 'n' tight"

Those are great pics to see right now. I can't wait for Abit and Epox to show some of their new products off.

And the single nVidia chip resides behind the AGP slot...runs very cool.

FYI: That boneheaded move (telling the Inquirer about the pics) cost me $180 and 42 Gb bandwidth since yesterday.

Me, I sent them a mention of the pics., so I did it to myself.

I sort of assumed that they would grab a favorite one and put it up there, as they've done a time or two in the past. What was really annoying was that some people noticed that they could troll the directories and find various other pics. While everything that was there (all now pulled) is fine for public consumption the Monday morning Japan and Asia crowd apparently got all excited about some pics I took of a band performing at a nightclub a week ago and started downloading that like crazy in addition to the nForce pics. The band pics were far larger and it gobbled up bandwidth. They probably wanted pics of the female lead singer for wallpaper.

Anybody who wants to mirror the nforce/lansend pics is welcome to.

Over on the AMDZone pics, btw, you can spot me and my camera in the pic with the Newisis system, about to fire up PovRay.

I remember a year or maybe more ago, a guy had the basic home services of OneAndOne, for a personal website for him and his kid.

His kid gave him this idea to create a tiny little program to do something. The thing was only like 250k, it was a small program he created in Delphi.

It was so long ago I cant even remember what it did. But it swarmed so much popularity that there were so many people downloading it oneandone cancelled his contract & took him to court for exsessive bandwidth usage.

The guy didnt even do it on purpose, he wasnt expecting it to be popular at all, just a homemade program a couple of people might like to try out, and he ended up in court :(

Interesting that this AMD-processor board starts with the letter P.

Maybe the 'P' stands for 'Prototype' though the board looked like a production model with the FCC Classs A and B certifications and no wire trace patches to be seen.
