Heres a bonus picture if you guys can do it :)

Just trying to see how my car might look if I painted the OEM rims black.

Thanks everyone :)

If you're gonna paint the rims, go the powdercoating route. I don't have pictures, buy my brother powdercoated his stock Evo-X rims and it came out gorgeous, and matches the Phantom Black of the car perfectly.

I dislike how some people spraypaint or try to paint their rims in other ways.

yea, I am looking at both ways. I am reading about powder coating can weaken the rim or even crack it. There is this rim place in SW Miami that's on G35 forums, I sent him a PM for pricing but ill see.

Agree! Powder coating is a little more $$$ but well worth the look and it will last.

I didn't realize they could get weaker. I guess it's true since you need to sandblast the crap out of the rims to get the powder to attach. FWIW, my brother paid $400 for the entire job, and it took a few days.

The process was defintely worth it, and will be one of the first mods I do to my next car. (Hoping to get a 135 soon.) :)

One of the people I talked to said he dropped them off in the AM and got them the same day , 35 a rim and 100 to sandblast. But the "weakening" happens when they heat it up to 400 degrees. There pictures of cracked rims after powder coating, so it just worries me. I might go the paint route then if that could happen because I don't have tons of money laying around just to fix it so yea. I am going to paint my headlights first though. Ill have to decide about painting or powder coating. Painting is a DIY job more or less. People say they have good results. Just can scratch alot easier.

I'm not even quite sure what the failure is that you're talking about. It's essentially the same setup I used for the first one, so both should be failures then :p

Maybe this is slightly better? Hard to tell

I just see legs on the top and bottom of the windows should I need like the top of the head ?

I designed it so that the bears aren't stretched out around the windows. I guess I could have put the heads at the top of the windows, but I chose to have the bears line up on top of one another and just took out whatever portion of the bear design lined up with the windows.
