you can see larger pics if the uploader enables them and you're signed into a flickr account but, yeah, they've had some horrible loading problems lately. that really doesn't make me want to pay for a "pro" account.

you can see larger pics if the uploader enables them and you're signed into a flickr account but, yeah, they've had some horrible loading problems lately. that really doesn't make me want to pay for a "pro" account.

i dont have a flickr acct, but can you see larger pics by default if you do? Or are the larger pics only accessible via the + button on the top left?

the size shown on the picture's page (like the one in my signature which was only uploaded as 480x640) is the "medium" size. to see anything larger than that, you have to click on the "all sizes" button just above the picture. i think you have to be logged in to be able to see "add note" and "all sizes" among other things.

Photobucket has a TOS. If you break the TOS, they delete your pictures. I don't see what's so horrible about that. It's the fucking dumbasses that put inappropriate pics up on photobucket in the first place that ruin it.

Pics get hosted and linked, thread gets made, people start talking about it, network traffic spikes for a series of one user's pics, they get flagged for review at Photobucket, review determines them to be nudes or whatever, pics get removed from photobucket. Now you have a thread full of people (links usually spread to multiple forums) handing out links that end up dead. Then you need to rehost them somewhere else, if at all, so new people reading the thread don't go WTF are you talking about and lambaste you for your lack of linking ability. It just snowballs into this huge inconvenience, waste of time, blah blah blah.

Eventually, like what just happened with imageshack and another forum I post on, some dumbass was hosting a bunch of nudes and imageshack found out. Now the entire forum's domain is added to imageshack's blacklist. I actually really like imageshack for hosting (I post pics of me and my crew's kills while bounty hunting in a video game) but now I and others who use the service and actually follow the rules can't use my little imageshack hosting / posting script and have to go out of my way to find another host and rewrite a script if that's even possible with the new host.

Screw your head on straight and make sure links you post are hosted appropriately in the first place and follow the damn rules.
