I got a new project with my family to preserve tons of photo albums going back to 1940's. Looking for some good photo software not to edit i can do that with Adobe photoshop but to be able to use to put them i guess on CD with titles/descriptions be able to distribute copies to family.

anyone have recommendations?

i tried it, but there trial version does not give you any options to make picture CD's and also when you move folders to another location or change things it doesnt keep track. its a very nice software.

Any other suggestions.

If you're looking to add music and kinda turn it into a slideshow, I recommend MemoriesOnTV ... I did this for my fiancees family last Christmas and it had people in tears ;) I had to scan about 1400 slides going back as far as 1940s and the pictures and music made people bust out in tears. Especially when there were about 200 photos of her grandfather in WW2 playing to braveheart theme music! Good luck

flip album

I dont have any recommendations for scanner or scanner settings though.

All they need to do is pop in the cd in there computer and flip like a real album, option for background music too.

Depending on the sze of the pictures they may need an up to date computer or at least enough ram.
