Photo Hosting Software

Hi,

I'm looking for some software that will create an online gallery of my photos.
I guess it can be either local or hosted on the server, but I'd prefer hosted on the server.
I wanted to run Gallery but the servers that I have my hosting package on have the perl safe_mode variable to on so that seems out of the question.

Does anyone have any suggestions or have experience with other software to do the same sort of thing? The lower the cost, the better.
Thanks,

JayHu

ImCat might be enough for you, but it only seems to support jpeg and is not dynamic. It is free though and works well at what it was designed to do. sample showing the most basic setup, though note since it just outputs html anything it cant do you might be able to add in fairly easily.

There are two really good ones out - Adobe Photoshop Album and Jasc's PhotoAlbum.

There is a nice little program called TWebAlbum that can do everything your looking for. You can add descriptions to your photos, sort to different folders, have the program output the website for you with all the index files and photos in one click, it can even be setup with your webhost to upload automatically to your webspace/website. Another feature that I have yet to find on any other program is that you can add keywords to each photo (that become embedded in the jpeg file and are not visible in the picture) that can be searched using the built-in search page that is created with the one click webpage output.

Have a look for yourself http://www.clivebennett.com/, I have been very impressed with the program.

I'm using Coppermine - it works well, was easy to setup and free.

Where's it being hosted? I use Dixiesys and they also had the safe_mode on, but I emailed them and they switched it over for me so I could use gallery.

Got any links that show the webpages created by Adobe Photoshop Album?

Thanks for the responses. I'll look into everything mentioned.

I've emailed them to switch the flag, but I haven't gotten anything back from them yet. Im using Canaca, they had a great deal on webspace+bandwidth (5gb space + 20 gb bandwidth for 4.95 a month) so I jumped on it.
