Photo Gallery Script

I was searching for this earlier, and I didn't see much help, so here goes. I have a website with a ton of extra space on it. I would like to find a free photo gallery script. There are only two stipulations. I would like it to not be completely boring and simple. And I would like it to allow people to right click on the photo and download the entire image file. Most of the scripts I have seen don't allow the latter.

I know I could put them up on a photo program like flickr or something, but I have a TON of pretty large files, and the website space I have it already paid for.

First question: what is not "boring and simple" in terms of a photo gallery?

It might help to know what your web provider allows for backend scripts, if anything. PHP? Ruby/Rails? ASP.NET?

I recently had to look into a slider/carousel system for work, and although I didn't use it, FlexSlider looks nice.

FuzzyBabyBunny also looked into this sort of thing awhile back. You might ask him what he wound up using.

I use hostgator. I have been trying scripts, and so far I haven't had any issues with any of them. They have mostly been javascript.
