Photo catalog software

So I've got over a 1000 photos of my daughter and I haven't printed for over 6 months. Needless to say the wife is getting agitated at me.

I need a easy program for her to use to go through and simply mark the photos for printing so I can turn around and edit and upload.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Can't she just copy the ones she wants printed into another folder?

Picasa should work for you. It's free from Google. Just tag all the images you want to print with something like "print" and the you will be able to search for this later.

Yea, you can also "Star" photos in picasa. But tags work well.

If you want a sweet program($), try adobe lightroom. Works seamlessly with photoshop.

Lightroom is indeed a great program, but it is probably overkill for what the OP is asking about. However, I believe there is a 30 day free trial. Check it out and see what you think.
