Phoneline networking=As fast as ethernet?!

Speed:
1Mbps (Phoneline)
10Mbps (Ethernet)
100Mbps (Fast Ethernet)

It's a combo, so phone is still 1mbps

You may be right that this is just a combo that is 1mb/sec, but I can assure you there are lots and lots of 10mb/sec cards that are completely capable of running at that speed. As a matter of fact, Intel and many other companies have been pushing a standard(and have came out with a lot of products that work in this standard) that runs on regular phonelines at 10mb/sec.

Read it, from anandtech themselves

Presently, you won't get phoneline network kits that can be as fast as ethernet... so if you have to use phoneline kits, you will have to settle with the speed penalty...
