The double tap to wake is the best feature I've used in a long time. I have had many phones and I like the LG G2 but I prefer a slightly smaller phone like my nexus 4. Thanks

MotoX (2013) doesn't have a double tap to "wake". But you can tap it to activate the screen and do a quick slide down to unlock. It's actually smaller in size than the Nexus4.

Most of the Lumias except the Icon (doesn't support it, as far as I know) and 1520 (6" phone).

Also, I think most (all?) the other LG phones support it ("Knock Code"), not just the G series. Their mid-range seems to be lacking models, though, at least for GSM carriers in the United States. Their lower end values are pretty decent value, though, like the Optimus/L and F series phones.

Yeah, so the Z3 compact would be what he is looking for.

FYI, I really like how the LG G3 took it a step further and had the tap code to wake and unlock.

I can't figure out how to JUST wake my phone. I paired my jawbone UP24 to my phone, and so it auto-unlocks if I wake it.

I have no experience with a bluetooth fitness tracker, but for regular use, a double tap just wakes it. Then I have to do the tap code.

The phone (or maybe the OS?) has a feature where you can use a bluetooth device as a trusted device to unlock your phone automatically when it's within range. I always am wearing my wristband, so it made sense. So, it's less about the wristband than it is about the bluetooth unlock feature in general.

you can always flash a kernel that supports double tap to wake/slide to wake.
