Phone that syncs directly to Exchange

For the last few years here at work we have been using Good Mobile Messaging with Nokia E62's and BlackJack's for email, calendars, and contact syncing for our executives and salesmen.

Recently our CFO got himself an iPhone, and now that we have Exchange 2007, the Exchange Active Sync with push on the iPhone works flawlessly.

Now that we know that, we would like to get away from Good Mobile Messaging, and our COO wanted to make sure that there was no cheaper alternative before we buy iPhone's for everyone.

Is there an alternative phone to the iPhone that works just as well, and is cheaper? Any WM6 phone, and more notably the BlackJack II's, should work similarly with Exchange, correct?

Does anyone have any experience in what works the best?

Thanks!

Anything WM will work just as well when it comes to syncing with exchange.

It looks like these phones from AT&T would supply decent alternatives for the Exchange Syncing.

Pantech Duo = $180
BlackJack II = $199
Motorola Q = $249
AT&T Tilt = $299

They are all about the same price or higher than the iPhone, though. I emailed my account rep to see what price he could get them to me for, but he hasn't got back with me yet.

AFAIK you have to use the BB server with any BB phone to get it to work with Exchange like that.

Your issue will be the bar has been set by the iPhone. From a usability standpoint there is nothing close.

Whatever you do, have your COO try it first. That way it's his decision as to whether or not it's "as good" as the iPhone.

There?s no expensive server hardware to buy and no need to hire an IT specialist to manage the solution. The setup wizard allows you to easily integrate your team?s existing email accounts and configure shared calendars, mobile access to desktop content and permissions for individual users.
