Phone Scam - 809

Just a "heads-up" folks. Another phone scam going around, is contacting people via email and post, saying they have received a prize or have been registered for "X", and all they need to do is call and confirm. It's an 809 prefix (non- US), and the charges have been as high as $2,000/minute. Since it's outside of the US, our laws don't give you much protection and you'll end up arguing with a non-english speaking person who doesn't care about your mistakes. Yeah, it's an old one, but it's going around again.

hope no one's been bit already.

If you recieve an email saying this, or a phone call requesting that you call this number....
Please dial 1-809-REPORT-IT

🙂

if you dialed 1-809-REPORT-IT and got scammed $2000 on your phone bill, please call 1-809-SCAMMED to cancel the charges.

If you dialed the preceding 2 numbers and got scammed for both dial 1-809-IM-COOLBECAUSEIMPERPETUATINGAJOKETHATWASNTFUNNYTOBEGINWITH
