How much (roughly) should it cost for 5 phones (family plan), 3 with unlimited texting & 1 of those three with a data plan with wireless broadband? I say the wife is paying too much. So, thought I'd see what kind of costs you guys would expect for something like this.

depending on the number of minutes i'd say anywhere from 150 to 200

i have 4 lines w/ 1500 mins shared, free nights/weekends, unlimited data on all 4 and 400 texts on two lines, for $202 a month.

Depends on who has good coverage in your area. It doesn't matter if you can get it for $50 cheaper from another company if the coverage isn't worth a damn where you are.

I think you should strive to keep it under 200 a month. Try and see if you can get the big 4 to compete for you.

Sprint EPRP Family plan with 5 lines with 1600 anytime minutes, unlimited messaging and unlimited data on all 5 is $155. With 3200 it's still under $200. Only problem is getting the phones through them and waiting on rebates it's pretty pricey up front. Check their rural coverage it's why we are still with VZW...Sprint has no native coverage at all in the U.P. of Michigan, not sure if they have any in the NY boonies. Have been sorely tempted at times though. Also check on employee and union discounts (assuming you are still teaching and in a teachers union).

Type in Sprint EPRP for a search and use russ.s.mcguire@sprint.com & 383 as the referral information. Good luck.
