I'm a compulsive hanger-upper.

My wife doesn't take it personally.

She gets excited about things and wants to tell me about her day. I listen till I lose interest or feel I've wasted to much time then say "gotta go" and hang up...

Somdays she calls several times, sometimes she doesn't. Sometimes I call her and blather on about my day, and she distractedly cleans or plays with the kids.

It evens out I think. I'm much more likely to hang up without warning though.
