It takes place with a woman who is standing and a sniper is pointing at her the entire movie and she has to stand there. Ring a bell anyone? Oh wait yes it does! It sounds like this movie. Hollywood needs to get a clue! Text

Oh FYI Skoorb - they had an article in today's paper - it was filmed in DECEMBER 2000. Looks like LSS ripped Phone Booth off then :p
Was it filmed before LSS? Somebody ripped somebody off!

Well actually I don't know when LSS was filmed, so maybe PB did rip off LSS, but highly doubtful :) For an unknown at that time, Collin has great presence as an actor in PB

I thought the movie was ok but nothing special. It had some good suspense but nothing that was as great as reviews make it out to be.

I enjoyed the movie up until the end then then ending just stunk, as for the length it was the perfect length considering it was in the phone booth the whole time. I say wait for the dvd to see this but thats just MHO, I will go see anger managment this weekend that looks good.

Holy cr**!! That is just awesome! Yet I bet this movie makes a freaking killing! Man, now if hollywood would learn from this, maybe they'll quit making that cr** they call movies and start making good stuff like this. They can even learn about film economics from this too! :)

Not many other movies can be shot in one place all the time though :( Joel Schumachers other movies have been utter crap, so it's nice that he made a good movie for once :)

Hey, give the man some credit. He did Lost Boys, Falling Down, Batman & Rob...er...scratch that one.. :p

He was never sniping from that position in the first place - he only made it look like he was. Remember the phone call he made to the wife? It was on a regular traceable line from that apartment. He must have ordered the pizza from there too, had it delivered there - Kiefer was there, told him to go deliver it to the phone booth, when Colin rejected him he went back up to the apartment and Kiefer killed him. If he's smart enough to use an untraceable line, he wouldn't be stupid enough to snipe from a place where he used a traceable line. If you remember, at the end where Kiefer is walking through the crime scene, he was holding a large case, probably for the real sniper rifle he used, not the "setup" that he had.

I just finished watching the movie. $1-day at my Block Buster! :)
I liked it. It was a little like "Joy Ride" in the end. But was better than Joy Ride... all in all not bad at all.

The whole movie takes place in a phone booth, what do you expect?

I saw it... I rate it a 3 out of 5... I almost fell asleep during it.

We rented it this weekend and enjoyed it. Personally, I love movies like this where they can shoot pretty much a whole movie from one set (although this one did use a few other scene shots as well.) It usually forces the writers to come up with a decent story. My favorite movie of all time, Hitchcock's Rear Window, was just like that although they built a much more elaborate set from scratch and the cinematography and storyline were more compelling IMO.

The plot to Phone Booth was fairly good and it was enjoyable to watch with just the right amount of suspense. Keifer was perfrect for his role and my wife is nuts about Colin Farrell now after seeing him in this and especially in The Recruit. We followed up that film with Will Ferrell in Old School - a bit of a contrast. :D

My wife and I just watched this about 30 minutes ago. All I gotta say is, WOW. Colin Farrell played a great part, as did Kiefer Sutherland (even though you don't see him for 99% of the movie). I thought the ending was very well-done and it would have been stupid if Kiefer had gotten caught at the end. The suspense was awesome, and I don't think the movie lasted any longer than it had to. I was surprised that it was actually less than 90 minutes...

I saw Joy Ride as well, and that was definitely one of the biggest wastes of 90 minutes I ever saw. I saw it a while ago so I don't recall how it ended, but what is this about everyone saying it ripped off Joy Ride's ending?
