it's just like in the mid 90's and early 2000's when you could be addicted to the internet.
move along folks nothing to see here.
so sick of anecdotal evidence.
I don't and I feel left out.
I miss all the cool trends. I never got the clap, never got a DUI, never popped my collar, never bought Click Clacks, never sent a tweet, didn't become a lesbian for sophomore year. I'm a failed hipster. :'(

Recently watched a woman at a mall here walk out of Macy's with her face embedded in her phone. As she started in a straight path heading directly towards the fountain in the middle of the mall... my eyes are glued. Seconds later... splash. One of the funniest things I've probably ever witnessed. It's real.
As weird as it sounds the active display on my Motorola devices have really cut down on my phone use. The display pulses a notification that I can simply touch with my finger and get a preview of. I don't have to pick up the phone or turn on the screen. There's no impulse of of "oh while I have this thing on may as well check this out too!".
Nothing to check, it just stays on the desk or in my pocket.

well aren't I a jackass?!
Fucking hell. Pretty sure my brain died at some point last week. Maybe it fell out? Can a brain fall out?
When you sleep and wake up in a pile of drool. That's not drool. It's your brain trying to escape.
My girlfriend definitely does, her face is always buried in her phone.
My dad would read the newspaper while watching tv and I always thought that was weird. My girlfriend? She'll watch tv by chromecasting from her phone, then surf pinterest/whatever it is she does the entire time.
