<<
Biggest weakness last year was power forward and low post scoring; Martin rectifies that. >>
but he's still no match for Duncan, Wallace, Webber (if he sticks around), or the big daddy.
<<
Marbury is a far superior shooter to Kidd, so double-teaming the low post against the Suns will no longer be as effective. >>
but he's a selfish player. and that leads to your next point:
<<
Penny has rehabbed successfully and is in the best shape he's been in since his rookie year. >>
Penny will never win a thing. If they had traded him for Marbury, I would understand. But Kidd beat up his wife, so he's gone. Penny is one of the most self-centered, ego-centric, me-first player in the league. There's no way he'll coexist with marbury. He'll play one month and sit out the rest of the season, just like every other year he's been in the league (well, almost).
<<
Starting lineup of Marbury, Hardaway, Shawn Marion, Martin, and Jake Tsakalidis - not bad.
Not good enough to beat the Lakers in a seven-game set unless Kobe and Shaq were suffering from food poisoning or something, but it vaults the Suns over teams like Sacramento and Portland, IMO. >>
That's a good lineup... in the east!

They moved up, but Dallas will improve, Sac isn't dead yet, Portland will still win games, San Antonio has something to prove, and nobody looks like they can challenge LA for a long time. Building a great team takes time. Changing around the core of your lineup usually means it will take you that much longer to succeed.
