seems to be a theme here.. if a (white) officer shoots a black suspect, it becomes national headline news..

the officer responded Tuesday to reports of someone selling drugs out of a Cadillac SUV. Upon locating the SUV, he ordered Brisbon, the sole occupant, to show his hands.

 Authorities say Brisbon ran inside an apartment building and then got into a struggle with the officer. Brisbon put his hand in his pocket, and when the officer grabbed the hand, he thought he felt the handle of a gun through Brisbon's pants, police said.

Police say the officer repeatedly told Brisbon to keep his hand in his pocket, then shot him twice when he didn't.

suspect ignores police officer (show me your hands), then runs away from officer - gets in struggle with officer, sticks hand in clothes (wasteband, pocket, doesn't matter), refuses to obey officer..


classic resisting arrest


outcome: suspect ends up injured/shot/dead.


suspect is white - nobody bats an eye.. suspect is black or hispanic, it's racism.


anyone see a theme yet?


solution? I don't know.. maybe don't run from the police, don't fight with (or attack) the officer, and if he/she says to do or don't do something - listen..?

I saw this story yesterday, apparently the media is really all-in on pushing this "evil white cops shooting unarmed black men" narrative.

Just as Mike Brown, Brisbon is a lousy posterchild. A criminal that was found to have illegal drugs, refused police commands, and has a prior criminal record is not exactly someone the public will have a lot of sympathy for. Nor should they.

I'm really starting to wonder about this. With the revolutionary communists from Chicago rushing down to St. Louis to "help" with the Ferguson protests and the forced meme of police shooting "innocent" black suspects (who never seem to follow instructions) it's almost as if the media is intentionally muckraking a complete non-starter of a movement. Which is a shame, because we could use less racial violence and less militarized police forces.

I highly recommend you look more into the overall impact the War on Drugs has played in race relations, unequal application of laws against black people, and it's role on oppressing a large segment of the black population into poverty. It's the 'big picture' problem that is driving the apparent racism in police today.

While each case should be judged on it's own merit, it's absolute fact that if the Drug War to be repealed, it would remove a large part (but not all) of the injustice we see today. The Drug War is the 2nd worst policy ever set by the United States next to Slavery itself.

You just listed his viable skill and then said he doesn't have a viable skill. He seems proficient in selling things. If drugs were legalized might he...I don't know...sell drugs?
