My Phoenix browser is trying to open .exe files. Awhile back I think I clicked a option for it to be the default program, I was trying to install some plug-in, but now it does it on every file and it opens it like 30-40 times, without ever actually executing the program.

How can I get this off?

You set the default handler for EXEs file in the shell to be the phoenix browser? If I understand you right, you may have hosed your installation. You should be able fix it as long as you can get to the registry, but regedit is an EXE and will probably just kick off the browser again.
Go to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command\
and change the Default REG_SZ to have a value of "%1" %*

Good luck.

If I want Firebird to open EXE files, what program should I point it to. Right now, it doesnt understand to automatically run EXE files when I choose open (it asks me to choose a program).

So as of now, I have to save them to HD and then run them from there. Any help...thanx.

P.S. Not trying to hijack your thread or anything...sorry.

Phoenix.exe? Mine is mozillafirebird.exe...

In the location bar in Phoenix, type about:config and go down to browser.download. There should be one that lets you set what to do with files when you click on them in the browser.
