I took it to a local repair place... and it wasn't happening..and I don't feel like taking it back just so that they can say it again... so I figured I'd see if anyone here knew after seeing the other post about the tv.

Sometimes it will work. Other times it will stay on momentarily, then the picture gets hazy and a few seconds later it will turn the tube off. It doesn't completely turn off, the light stays on, but theres no picture. You have to let it sit, unplugged, for 30 minutes or so to get it to turn back on correctly. Otherwise it turns back on hazy still, and then turns itself off.

Anyone know whats happening?
 
My wild guess based on your symptoms would be that the power supply is having problems.

If it works fine at the repair place, possibly the problem is with the outlet/circuit the TV is plugged into at your home?
