Thanks, Ordered one. Hopefully it is as good as the retail one I have owned for quite a while now. No real complaints on that one. It's a bit quirky sometimes with Xvid in that the colors come out kind of funky at first sometimes. Just hit Menu a couple times and that fixes it right up. I love the NTSC/PAL conversion too.

I see Region 1 in there. How would I go upon playing my non-us releases in it? I barely have enough us dvds, it would be mostly imports.

DAMN!@!

I went out to get some beverages at the store, come back to order it and it is out of stock!!

UPDATE**

I was so upset about not getting in on this, and having some divx that I would like to play, I went to my local store and got this dvd player for $62. I tested it out extensively for the last hour and have determined that I either had too high hopes for it, or I got a defective player.

The one I purchased played some dvd's fine... color was perfect using component cables. Other dvd's were slightly blurry. DiVx was a joke for the most part. I tried about 10 different discs, different encoding, different media... only one of them played well enough for me to sit down and watch it..the others looked like they were beta quality or below.

I have one of these players too. Plays raw mpeg and avi files too. The SVideo gives a good video Playback.

I read on VCDhelp.com how to set the region code to 0. I think the last post gave instructions.

Something Else i recall reading on VCDhelp.com was alot people complaining about thier Players not reading any disc anymore. Perhaps these are all those that were sent back when they first came out.

What do you think?

FYI

DIVX 6 is out and I would look for something that supports 6 instead despite it being a great price. You may regret it as more titles show up in the new format.
