wow thats really interesting. it'd be nice to have a nice small camera with good zoom capabilities. or even camera phones with zoom (needed for zooming in for those "nice" shots ;))

but im sure its gonna cost and arm and a leg

That's just cool. I've been wondering about the idea for a while, but they pulled it off in a way that appears to be cheap to make, easy to control, and most likely reliable. Maybe we can get some digital cameras with good optical zooms and the ability to take close up shots without looking nasty or costing large sums of money.

Very, very interesting. I'm wondering what the optical quality of these lenses are. The "promotional" article doesn't really touch on how the quality of this lense stacks up against an actual glass lense. Will definitely be interesting though.

I don't care about the number of megapixels a camera has, as much as making the megapixels MEAN something. 5MP doesn't mean anything if they picture's blurry.
