Philips Accoustic Edge vs SB Live

In what ways are the Philips Accoustic Edge sound card better than the SB Live or Turtle Beach Santa Cruz? I know that these are the top contenders, but don't know what makes them better than each other. I had a Xitel Storm Platinum with A3D but they are now out of business.
All comments are most welcome!
Thanks,

I *just* installed the Philips Acoustic Edge that replaced my SBLive! and I'm running Win2k.

So far, so good. All my games run normal, there doesn't appear to be any framerate hit when playing any of them, so I'm a happy camper with this card in my system. I mainly purchased this card to give my older SBLive! Value to my little sister, so it was a toss up between another SB card or this one. I'm pleased with the results so far and I'll continue to stress test this card under more games (played Quake3, Counter-Strike so far).

Lol, I gave or sold mine to my older sister so she could play dvd's and mpeg4's. Now I feel I screwed her after getting the awesome AE!

All I know is that the Windows 2000 drivers for the SB Live! are pretty bad, and that if you purchase that card, you'll be enjoying a lot of sound pops. I know I have 🙁

So, I naturally recommend anything besides the SB Live!

It is the second time I see someone say there are problems SB+Win2K

I have such a card, run Win2K - have no problem - like it (could say nothing about SC)
