I had a philips 2x/2x/6x and it worked pretty good.

i also had a philips 4x/4x/32x which died after 50 burns ! :(

My current CD RW, a philips 8x/4x/32x is doing a pretty good job ( so far )

wow, your drive died in 50 burns and you still got another philips drive to replace it? you have dedication. :)

heh...i LOVED my panasonic scsi 4x8x, it was cheaper than dirt (when i bought it, it was around $190...this was dirty cheap compared to other scsi 4x's at the time, which were around $350). It did die though after about 1200 burns or so, so I bought another one (same model) for about $140, same thing happened after 1000 or so, and now I have a scsi sony 10x4x32x (which I hardly use, only burned about 40 or so in the last 4 months). hmmm...i forgot why i was rambling on about this...
