Philips 19-inch 12ms LCD Monitor - $370 plus shipping

12ms is probably the best response rate i've seen in a consumer lcd. Not bad for the price either. Philips is a good brand.

Philips makes very good LCD screens for laptops. Don't see why desktop LCDs would be any different. Good find.

Never rely on the specs provided by the manufacturer?? The manufacturer makes the product, how can you NOT rely on what they give you? 😕

doesnt the lack of DVI hurt this since its a 19in monitor..I know on a 17in 1280x1024 is ok with VGA....

Quite simply because the manufacturers can set tests up differently from other manufacturers to get more impressive specs. Independent, unbiased review is definitely the way to go, especially w/ LCDs.

In my experience, that is a correct statement. 17 inch is ok with VGA input, but for a 19 inch you really want DVI.....

is it absolutely 100% positive that this monitor does not have DVI? I've seen several monitors that don't include the dvi cable so they don't list the DVI input...ala Benq...

just checking...weird to see a 12ms monitor without DVI...

Why would a company build a monitor of this quality with these specs and not include a DVI input? Pathetic.

I have owned many LCD's and I don't care what anybody says, DVI makes a huge difference. I would never use a LCD without it.
