Also, the NEC 1530V on clearance at $299 #451114

The Philips was #452452, specs at Philips

Pricegrabber finds prices in the $400s.

This was at BM in Columbus, Ohio.

Use a coupon for $30 and its $269.

Good luck.

Nice find.
With the $30 off $150 coupon and the $10 off $10 it came to $259.50 before taxes.
Had 3 Nec's left in store.

You're welcome.

10 off 10? YGPM.

These LCDs are supposed to be healthier for our eyes, easier to view? Is that the consensious in the technicall community now?

My employers HP laptop has a very nice LCD that doesn't seem to bother my eyes after a 10 hour day.

I see several Staples coupons for $40 off $200 at your favorite site. That would make the deal hotter no?

Those codes are for online use only. You have to need those printable ones to use in-store.

anyone have an opinion on which one, I like NEC. However the Phillips I got was a floor model so

$299 - 10% = 269 - $30 = $239 plus tax.

NEC was not a floor model. I see CNET gave NEC a 9/10 cant find review of the phillips.

if anyone can help me obtain a $40/$200 private message me please.

Watching the displays at Staples yesterday, which were running a DVD movie, the Phillips was much sharper than the NEC, which had a lot of ghosting. The Philips was still pretty bad relative to a CRT for the movie, but I'd still choose it over the NEC for text.

The Philips also has DVI, while the NEC only does analog.

My friend has the Phillips & it was very good for games, however, only comes w/ analog cable. He had to buy DVI cable, but I didn't notice any difference when he switched the two. He's had it for a few mos. now & he loves it.

Are we allowed to use more than 1 coupon at once??

Also, What's a DVI cable?? I thought there's only analog and digital...

I used both. Had to get managers approval for the 30 off 150 because it's only supposed to be good online or for catalog purchases.
The 10 off 10 looked like a credit card and came in the mail.

NEC is slightly bigger (15.1" viewable) compared to the Philips 15" viewable. The Philips' specs are far better, 350:1 contrast ratio and 210 brightness. NEC's are 200:1 contrast and 200 brightness.

CNet gave the NEC a 8/10. (http://computers.cnet.com/hardware/0-2295747-404-4873705.html). I don't know why though.

I checked out the Philips 150S1C and I don't know where/how it could have DVI. I didn't see any DVI inputs at all. Am I missing something? I'll give more details once I hook it up at home. w00t!!

I got one. anyone know whether or not the 15% restocking fee applies to monitors as well ? Still debating whether or not 285.67 (thats with tax) is worth it.

It was on clearance for $299..

I said.. how many do you have?
manager : this is it
Me : Alright, it's pretty beat up (not beat up at all), can you give me a discount?
Manager : sure... let me get the box
He goes over to get the box
Me : I still want to know how much you are giving it to me for before going any further
Manager : umm.. hold on a second
Me : So how much?
Manager : $209 with extended warranty..
Me : ??! Ok, I'll take it.
