Another vouch for the Philips. Playing UT @ 1600x1200 and the Warcraft 3 beta @ 1920x1440 is something else, lemme tell you. Of course nearly everyone will say positive things about their monitor (unless something truly horrible came up), but I just wanted to chime in with the others and let people know that you won't go wrong buying this one. It's purty.

Then again, maybe I should make up a story about how I got a much more expensive monitor for well under $300 and gloat about it, insinuating that I'm a much better consumer than anyone else here and they only wished they were as clever as I am. HA!

Well, I posted about a 19" monitor to my door for $120+tax, with no waiting for rebates. Thread sank like a brick. More of a budget monitor for people on a shoestring, but a 19" monitor that'll run 1600x1200 for that price ain't horrible.

Just a lot of monitor snobs floating around AT in general, and it says a lot when a $2-300 monitor is considered a small cost. If you're sitting on 3+ monitors you spent $750-1000 for, you're not exactly the penniless student a lot of AT folks are.

And the smug "I got all 19 of my monitors for pocket change because I am just all that" tone was either pathetic or nauseating, I can't decide which.
