I searched and didn't see this mentioned....

Well, my 17" KDS died and after sending it back 3 times I decided I wasn't getting another one.

I was in OD and they had a display up for the Philips 107S -

$179
-$10 Instant Rebate
-$80 Mail in Rebate
_______________

$89

I have no need for a 19" so I jumped on this deal and am very impressed with the quality so far..

When you check out, it should print out the mail in rebates after your receipt.

Actually -

It's 2 rebates, 1 office depot ($30) and 1 Phillips ($50)

They print out both rebates from the receipt printer when you check out

just curious on the rebates...
does one ask for original UPC code and the other a "copy of UPC" ?

Online it only offers the Phillips?
Is it in the Flyer or maybe I can get it at the B&M.

Be prepared to wait on the Phillips rebate. I whole bunch of us just went through a terrible time with a Phillips CD-RW $40 rebate. It took about 6 months and A LOT of phone calls to get that one. Hopefully, they have gotten better.

i really don;t understand this deal, there a $50 rebate on the monitor from Philips from 2/24/02-3/2/02 otherwise the Philips rebate is $30 from 1/1/02 - 3/31/02 and these CANNOT BE COMBINED. Otherwise I don;t see any $30 of philips monitor from Office Depot, there website has no mention of it. I hope you guys aren;t combining the 2 philips rebates cause I don;t think it will work. I hope I am wrong and there is a Office rebate, if so tell me where I can find it please.

I have the Philips 107T (flat crt) and it is great, also just got the $50 rebate back about 4 weeks after I sent it in so they are decently responsive on that. This monitor is NOT flat but still looks decent for the price.

Nugglife - you were lucky getting your 107T rebate so fast. I sent mine in back
in November (got the 107T for $99 AR from Staples!) and just got the $50
rebate back last week. I also had to call Philips and have them resubmit my
information. They gave me some gip about firing the rebate company and
everyone having to call and resubmit all their information or not get their
rebate. I heard from others that this was similar to the CD-RW rebate
fiasco Philips pulled. It wasn't a fun experience and it will have to be
an incredibly hot deal before I try for another Philips rebate. Heck, I passed
up a 107T for $109 from Staples a few weeks back because of this.
As always YMMV. Good Luck.

Let me say this -

There is a sign next to the monitor in the B&M I purchased mine at that says this:

$179
-$10 Instant Rebate
-$80 Mail in Rebate
_______________

$89

I seriously doubt they would make up a sign for it if you cannot use both rebates.

So, you might check your local B&M to see if they have the same sign up.

Yes I saw that sign at Office Depot proclaiming its $89, but in the Office Depot circular and website they only say its 119. So that leads me to believe there is no $30 rebate, however you say its a Office Depot and not a Philips rebate yet I have seen no Office Depot rebate. All I wanna know is that if they printed out both rebates like ytou said at the register were they both Philips rebates?

Can't say as I have found this coupon....could you point one in the right direction? Followed your signature file, but didn't see this one for OD.

I'm in great need of a cheap, decent monitor and it looks like this might fit the bill. However I'm curious about that $30 off $100 coupon.. any pointers anyone? All I can find is $20. Thanks.

I bought a Philips 109B20 at Office Depot a couple of weeks ago. It was $299.99 and they claimed $80 of rebates brought it down to $219.99. It ended up being a $30 and a $50 rebate. When I got home and read all the info on the rebates, I realized that the $50 one wouldn't even work. It had two mismatched dates for validity. It said that it was valid from 12-1-2001 to 12-31-2001 in one place and 12-1-2001 - 12-31-2002 in another. It also said it had to be mailed in by 1-31-2001.

I took the rebates back to the store, asked a cashier what was up with that and they just refunded $50 back to my credit card. Actually $52.50 because they gave me back my tax too. I didn't expect it to be so easy and I was fairly happy to say the least.

About the rebates listed online... I spoke with an OfficeDepot.com person who checked with her boss, and apparently it's a bug in their system that displays the two rebates. As you would expect, only one may be used.

It doesn't apply to this deal, but be careful with some of their other rebates. For example, the $50 rebate for the 107T doesn't start until March 17th, despite being listed. I suppose it's another bug. Anyway, I just thought I'd share this tidbit since I almost bought that monitor because of the rebate, and I'd hate for anyone else to go through with it.

I picked up this monitor last night, and sure enough both rebates that printed at the register are the same as the two that are online... so I guess you can use them both even if you purchase online. Very hot deal!
