Of note: Bob Charles, Mike Weir, and Phil Mickelson are the only three left-handed golfers to win a major championship.

Even more interesting: Phil Mickelson does everything right handed- except golf.

Yeah, I read the same thing about Michael Vick of the Atlanta Falcons. He does everything else with his right hand: eat, write, etc. Except throwing the football with his left, some people are just talented like that.

Amazing, most enjoyment I've got watching a golf tournament on TV. I remember Nicklaus in 86 a bit, but I was only 4 years old back then. Congrats Phil, he really deserved it.

Actually, there's a school of thought that people should learn to play golf "backwards" when first learning as this puts your dominant hand at the top of the grip, allowing for better control and ability to square the clubface.

Could be, but Mickelson actually learned to play by standing next to his righty father and mirroring his movements.

It was great to see him finally win, and in a tight match, too.

Yep. I was just speaking generally about playing left-handed.

Agreed, but DAMN what a lucky break to end up with Dimarco's ball right behind his on the 18th. :Q

I thought Mickelson was going to kiss DiMarco when he saw that DiMarco was away.
