I honestly, don't know why anyone would spend their money on Intel dual-core CPUs anymore. Both are bad purchases in 2016 for different reasons, IMHO. But people do. With the FX, you are getting good MT performance at least, which is getting increasingly more important day by day, but to each their own, I guess. I like when I manually do virus scans (using 3 threads on my system, for example) my desktop experience remains as smooth and responsive as before. Intel dual-cores (i.e. i3 6100) are good only when not stressed, though. i5-6500 has been my new recommended minimum as of late.I honestly don't know why anyone would spend their money on an FX CPU
