all phenoms are 64bit

pretty much every processor released in the last 3-4 years has supported 64bit

Watch out with that processor though, make sure your new MB supports it. It is a 125W processor, and only high grade MB usually give that type of power to the processor. The new Deneb processors should be out in about 2 months, which will be faster and run on less power if your current motherboard is inadequate for the 9950.

yes it is supported, i check my mobo's website. All i have to do is flash to the newest and then im good to go.

Your mobo mfg may say it supports it, but many of those motherboards have been burned out because they really can't take it.

Be very careful in your decision.

I'm always a little wary of relying on manufacturers claims for this kind of thing as they have been known to 'exaggerate' in the past.
