Its hot out. I live in Missouri. Its hot as balls out. idling at about 42c. under load (bfbc2 for hours) 54 C. Seen it as high as 55. I know thats not good, but.. how worried should i be? Or should I be worried at all? Or kinda worried? or... you get the point. Using the stock cooler, and the stock paste that came with it. How much of a difference would replacing the stock paste with artic silver make?

Opinions wanted, thanks in advance.

You're fine, but you should buy a 120mm cooler for it anyway, and use K10stat or Phenommsrtweaker to undervolt it, particularly at idle.

55C under real world load is fine. I would be concerned if it ever topped 60C. Arctic Silver should give you a good 2-3 degree drop vs stock paste (minimally).

I don't have a THuban, so I cna't be sure, but I think it is closer to 1.0v. You should be able to get it down to below 1v on idle.

You could definitely be doing better on those gaming temps, not even prime 95 can get my oc'd CPU that hot so the ambient heat and that stock cooler is a bad combo as others have suggested.

I've always gone all copper on air coolers and it seems to keep my temps in the summer down better than water or aluminum.
