Its only a mater of time until some dweeb with more money then brains gets a liquid helium setup onhis rig and kills himself. Its one thing when some enginering college crazies do this kinda stuff, but AMD should know better. Whats the point?

AMD never encouraged LH cooling for normal users.

I never really understood the extreme cooling mods and 7Ghz. I mean while its nice to look at it's not practical in the real world.

Liquid nitrogen I could see (and would be difficult to kill oneself with), but liquid helium is really hard to come by and really expensive. Even just storing it is difficult.

There's no major architecture change from the X4 940, why has the maximum ceiling changed by 0.7 (apparently) when there are no changes and the two chips are identicle except for the DDR3 controler and the base GHz ratings

Allegedly, yields on AMD's 45nm process have improved drastically. I'd like to see what budget chips will be benefiting from these same process improvements.
