I've had this 720 for such a short time I don't know what to expect, but I guess I do expect the OS/3rd party software to report what's going on inside the cpu correctly - that's fair, right? Well, maybe it is, maybe it isn't, but the temps are WAY off (-250 deg C?? using AMD Overdrive) and the frequencies are somewhat off.

AMD Power Monitor reports the frequencies at 1.8Ghz and AMD Overdrive at 2.722. Windows reports the frequencies at 2.72 - isn't this a 2.8 Ghz proc?

AMD Overdrive status
(there's a small magnifying glass in the upper right corner of the image area to enlarge it)

Lastly, Cool n Quiet is enabled in the BIOS, but I don't see it working at all.

Back in the day, you had to install an AMD cpu driver, but I can't find one for Phenoms for windows 7 64-bit. Is it not needed for that OS?

pretty sure a cnq driver is no longer needed. unlocking cores with ACC will cause strange behavior with the temp probes, however. everything is probably fine. you may want to periodically disable ACC so that you can check on the effectiveness of your cooler, or fit a hardware temp probe.
