You see an interesting thread, you read through it and have something to say. So you click reply and type out your response, then you read your response for spelling errors and what not then decide maybe you shouldn't click post and you close the window.


edit: on that note, do you also sometimes feel like someone is reading your response as you're typing it and you feel awkward wondering what they would think of you knowing you typed it out and closed it?

Yup. I've been known to spend up to 30 minutes doing research for a post, writing out a detailed response, deciding "meh, fuck it, I don't want to get involved in this discussion anyway," and closing the window. I look on it as time well spent, as it generally leads to some good old-fashioned wiki bombing.

I do the same. I get angry at a P&N thread and decide to fully own whoever started it, but by the time I've done the research I've had a beer and a smoke and it's 20 minutes later...

No I don't do that, but I will read through an entire thread at times that's got 75+ posts and not say anything even if I have something I want to say.
