Phantom Game Console

I just finished reading the 2nd article printed over at HardOCP about the Phantom Game Console. I was just wondering if anyone else hear thinks it sounds like a total hoax? The article showed the inside of the "console" which essentially looked like a typical computer with some extra wires. The I/O panel on the back looks like it was labeled by a moron who knew only computer buzz words. The RJ45 input was labeled "DSL in" and the coax input was labeled "cable modem in". So the thing is supposed to have an internal cable modem....please. Also, it has Dolby 7.1 Digital sound, trouble is dolby has no such technology (according to hardOCP) and as far as I know, the latest from Dolby was 6.1.

Any thoughts? Does anyone actually think this thing will ever be more than a way to scam investors?

I'm sure the ports were labeled that way for a reason. How many average Joes have a clue to what is RJ45 and coax ports are?

I have my soldering iron ready to go when/if they should ever come out. I wanna see how hard it'll be to get netbsd on there.

But I'm not holding my breath.
