Ordy, PGR has never been a "simulation" game. It is realistic to a degree, but never on par with games like Forza or Gran Turismo. Personally, I dont like sim racers, specifically because they're TOO realistic. I dont want to play a game where I can only succeed by being absolutely perfect. Its more of an arcade style racer with a sim feel in my opinion. Of course, maybe I'm alone in thinking that. 😉

Nah, you're not alone. I've never cared for games like GT or Forza (and completely forget about a game like GTR) because they lean too far to the sim side for my tastes. I've always liked PGR because it uses real cars, but sits somewhere in the middle. It's not as simmy as a Forza, but it's not pure arcade like a Burnout.

Sweet. At least I know I'm not crazy... or at least I'm not crazy by myself.

I got GW:W today... and of course, Wal-Mart didn't have it (even the Friday after release... such a smutty place). Got it at Circuit City, but haven't opened it yet.

I also like the same type of games. I never liked ones where you had to tune gear ratios just to make a car better. I prefer PGR games because they strike the perfect balance.

I don't bother with all the tuning stuff in Forza... I just look at the people with the best times on different races and download their tuning setups.

I like the PGR series too.

I started playing PGR4 like an hour ago and I've already beat some of the shit and unlocked some achievements. It's fun but I'm also a bit inebriated, so that might be affecting how much fun I'm having. Also, how the hell do you get to play Geometry Wars: Waves? I wanna play but I can't find it 🙁.

I'm thinking of ordering this today. Is it worth $60? I can certainly wait a bit with Halo 3 to hold me over. I loved PGR3 though, but will it be enough to pull me away from Halo 3?

I think it's fun... although the damn bikes are frustratingly harder than the cars. I got Silver with all but one of the Drift 101 events with the cars, but the bikes are just BLAH. Best I can get is 4/15 in the first superstar event.

I informed my wife that I'd be very happy if I came home one night and had that waiting for me. We'll see what happens.
