PGR2/Project Gotham Racing 2 on Xbox... amazing game!

I have finished all the races, but I need to back and redo those that I've done in Bronze or Silver, because the bonus cars are tied to those rankings, or lack thereof.

I love this game, but I have a lot of work to redo 🙁

Chances are that you have not even played both games, let alone spent a significant amount of time with both. GT3 is an amazing game. But PGR2 is much better (imho) if nothing more than because of online play and the integration of Xbox Live in the single player mode. It is simply an absolute blast to play online.
GT4 isn't out yet, so it's irrelevant to compare the two.

skoorb... If you can find the December issue of the Official Xbox Magazine on the newsstands, it has a demo of PGR2 in it. Or you could just buy it... I'd be shocked if you didn't like it.

rh71... I felt the same way about PGR1. Fun for a while, but then got too difficult too quickly. PGR2 has different difficulties that you can choose for each round. This is an excellent feature because not all of us are worthy of racing on the same track as Rent. 😉

live handle is Rent, but I haven't been plugged into most of the time. Don't know how much of my stuff you'll find on there.

That's cool, I know how it is. My connection frequently drops out on me while I'm playing thanks to a certain roommate's bit torrent useage so I don't have all of my scores on live, but still it's very cool to see. Hopefully my screen will look like that one day. 😉

This really is an amazing game. I was actually reticent to buy it because I didn't really care for PGR1, but I am just astonished at the seamless XBox Live integration, and it plays SO well. Unfortunately I am more of a Silver-level driver than Platinum (particularly on that annoying American Muscle series!).

I'm definitely a Silver guy, as well. I have about 15 Golds (and 100-something Silvers) but I don't see myself going for all Golds.

I'm on the Ultimate series, and having a somewhat difficult time obtaining Silver on the Cone Challenges.

What is annoying in the American Mussle series is the lame Chicago tracks and the fact that they are at night is lame also. I could have done without those two features in this game. I was let down with this game because I think some things in the game were not added in right and I'd rather not see them if they were not done right. I have been playing games of cat and mouse for the past two days. First time I have ever played it and it is just really fun, better than just straight racing.

I did alright on the American Muscle series... The 2+2 Mustang Fastback was my car of choice.

Just finished the entire World Series on Silver. 🙂
